Aero Design

Aero Design, the new design engine working on Vista. This will provide you with a refreshing, translucent glass like windows and buttons. The design system can utilize the installed hardware. This means if you have better graphics processor, you can get better looking windows and interfaces.
Revamped Start Menu
The next important thing you notice on Windows Vista will be the start menu. Start menu has been revamped and now comes with Instant search feature, a desktop search system. You can quickly search your computer easily from Start.
Live Thumbnails & Power Explorer
Explorer has been revamped and now you can see thumbnail of file contents using “Live Icons“. Explorer automatically removes the command buttons that are not appropriate for the file type. More than that each explorer window has an instant search box.
Instant Search Powered Control Panel
Control Panel also comes with instant search box, where you can type the hardware name and Windows will automatically take you to the correct hardware configuration page.
Taskbar Thumbnails
This new feature will let you know the contents of a taskbar item without restoring it. This will be heavily useful if you have to open hundreds of windows at a time.
Ctrl-Taskbar combination allows you to quickly flip through open windows. In Windows Vista, you have a 3D flip system where you will see an animation on how you flip through different open windows.
