How to: Restore Run Command in Windows Vista Start Menu

Posted in: Tweaks on Nov 27th, 2007 | No response

If you are using the default Windows Vista start menu, you will be surprised to see the lack of the commonly used Run command option. The newly designed start menu almost hides this feature. Fortunately, you can enable it yourselves.

Here is how:

Customize Start Menu

Right Click Start Menu and select properties. In Start Menu tab, you will see a button for customization. Click on it and scroll through for the “run” check box. Select it and click Okay.

Now you have the restored Run command on lower right hand corner of start menu.
