Apple iPhones Won’t Work with 64bit Windows Vista
Only few days after Apple officially releasd iPhones to public, it has been identified that Windows Vista 64bit editions do not support iPhones. Apple has already confirmed that iPhone software will only work on Mac OS , Windows Vista 32bit editions and earlier Windows XPs. The additional memory addressing capability of 64bit editions will cause error with iPhone software.

The iPhone software is required for syncing iPhones to your PC.
Earlier, similar incompatibility was discovered with iTunes, the software required for syncing iPods with PCs. Fortunately in about few weeks time Apple and Microsoft released updates to correct this error.
